We’ve all heard the saying: “You only have one chance to make a good first impression.”
Your About page is often where you make your first impression online. Writing an About page for your website is no easy task, but when done well, it offers a HUGE opportunity to share your backstory, build rapport, and introduce a next step call-to-action to website visitors. It also:

  • Is often one of the first places you’ll make an impression on someone looking to learn more about you (52% of site visitors look for an About page, in fact.)
  • Sends free organic traffic to your site (it’s often one of the first things people find when they search for you.)
  • A place where you can grow your email list.

So…it’s IMPORTANT.

The trouble is: Too often About pages are dead ends. They get glossed over. They’re skimped on.

Brand Audit with Jessie Scheunemann (Jessie Marie Studio)
Does your brand need a checkup? Our Brand Audit package with Jessie Marie Studio evaluates your brand’s position in the marketplace, its strengths and weaknesses, and how to strengthen it.

The purpose of this Brand Audit is to assess and review your brand – as a whole – from the perspective of your target audience. Use the findings to guide future marketing materials & decisions pertaining to the use of your visual brand moving forward.

Each Brand Audit day will begin at 9 AM with the completion of the brand audit worksheets (provided to you) paired with the analysis of your current marketing materials (provided by you ahead of time). Discussion will occur to clarify the brand’s What, Who, and ultimately the Big Three: Logo, Color, and Typography.

Each Brand Audit day will complete by 3 PM with the delivery of appropriate final files and a 1-page Brand Style Guide specifying the Big Three: Logo, Color, and Typography.

  • Who is eligible? Small businesses in Illinois.
  • What does it cost? Thanks to CARES Act funding, this program is offered at no cost to your business.
  • A business may submit one request at a time.
  • 2-3 hours of your time (on the selected date) will be necessary to successfully complete the project.

Jessie Scheunemann has over 15 years of industry experience from corporate settings to freelance. She currently runs her own design studio, Jessie Marie Studio, LLC, in Champaign, Illinois. Through her graphic design services, she helps her clients bring clarity to their visual messages. Her client list includes park districts, health and wellness companies, restaurants, Duke Fuqua School of Business student groups, John Deere, and Lume. She also holds the role of Marketing Director at Campfire Concepts where she has succeeded in building a successful visual brand to support the company’s marketing efforts and design services for the park and recreation industry.


Brand Jumpstart with Clanin Marketing

Was your business impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic or did you start your business between 2020 and now? If yes, does your business need a jumpstart?

Our Brand Jumpstart package offers the opportunity to collaborate with the Clanin Marketing team to create a custom logo and a formal set of brand standards that includes your existing mission statement, vision, and values.

Each Brand Jumpstart will be held over two weeks and will begin with a Jumpstart Worksheet (provided to you) followed by a mood board creation, a discovery call, and input & review of two logo options to choose from. The Brand Jumpstart will conclude on Friday of the second week with the delivery of the brand standards and logo files. The logo design does not include custom illustrations.

Clients utilizing this service will be required to be available for the scheduled calls (held virtually) on Thursday of the first week and the following Wednesday. Call times for those days will be set by Clanin Marketing. The Jumpstart Worksheet must be returned to Clanin Marketing before noon on the second day (Tuesday) of the Brand Jumpstart.
