SBDC Webinar: Legal Issues for Supervisors

November 15 @ 10:00 AM - 11:00 AM

Presented by: Kelly Gust, Founder and CEO of HR Full Circle

The responsibility of being a supervisor or manager comes with some strings attached. Navigating key employment laws can leave business owners and leaders feeling like they need a secret decoder ring. In this session, participants will leave with a basic understanding of Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA), Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA), Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), Sexual Harassment Prevention, and more. You’ll leave with an understanding of the various laws, what size business each law applies to, and will know when to seek assistance from a professional. This session is not intended to provide legal advice, but rather to navigate a basic understanding of key employment laws from a business/human resources perspective.

The webinar will be approximately 45 minutes of presentation time followed by Q&A. Participants will be able to ask questions in the chatbox, which will be addressed at the end of the presentation, moderated by a member of our team.

Date: Tuesday, November 15, 2022
