EDC/SBDC Webinar: The Magelli Office of Experiential Learning at the Gies College Action Learning Program

December 17, 2021 @ 2:00 PM - 3:00 PM

Presented by: Marissa Siero, Senior Associate Director of Business Development & Operations – Gies College of Business

Join us for a session on The Magelli Office of Experiential Learning at the Gies College of Business’ Action Learning Program. This program is currently sourcing projects for the Spring semester. Action Learning courses provide opportunities for UIUC students to work on real-time business problems.

Projects can be marketing, financial modeling, data analytics, go-to-market strategy, technology, and others.

  • Has your business been impacted by COVID?
  • Do you need to connect with your clients differently?
  • Are your firm’s policies and culture reflecting its views and beliefs of diversity, equity, and inclusion?
  • Do you have a large data set that you need help analyzing?
  • Does your brand need updating?
  • Do you need to evaluate a different revenue model?
  • How does blockchain, bitcoin, Ai, or carbon neutrality impact your business?

With guidance from faculty, teams of 6 Gies business students will work with you to help solve your business problem. During the course, students work with you to provide customized data-driven recommendations and strategies by the end of the semester. There is no charge for the programming, however, it is asked that project sponsors spend about one hour a week with their team to help provide information & feedback, and assist the students as they work through the project.
